You’ve probably seen this tag doing the rounds where you spell out the name of your blog in book titles from your TBR list. It looked like some good pointless fun so I’ve given it an iteration. The idea started at Fictionphile and is now at On Bookes.
The rules are:
- Spell out your blog name
- Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter. (Note you cannot ADD to your TBR to complete this challenge – the books must already be on your TBR.)
- Have fun!
As usual, I’ve snuck some non-fiction books in here too.
Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell
Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin
Entanglements of Empire by Tony Ballantyne
Demian by Hermann Hesse
Tender is the Night by F Scott Fitzgerald
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe
Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood
Lorna Doone by RD Blackmore
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Bleak House by Charles Dickens
Open by Andre Agassi
Under the Mountain by Maurice Gee
Tombstone by Yang Jisheng
Bring up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel
On Liberty by John Stuart Mill
Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey
Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset
Something Happened by Joseph Heller
With so many books on my TBR it was not difficult to complete this list. Although, with three E’s and four O’s to find I ended up with Steinbeck twice.
With a couple of exceptions, I did not want a list of too many books that book lovers would not know of. Are there any here you have not heard of?
